Alan has built a reputation as a singer and instrumentalist with a wide repertoire of songs ancient and modern. He is also known for his easy relationship with his audiences and his ability as an entertainer. Since he first picked up a guitar in the early ‘60s, he has performed in clubs, concerts, festivals and other venues in the UK and in Europe, including lunchtime concerts at the Festival Hall in London and has also made a number of radio appearances.
His repertoire includes not only songs that fall into the general category of traditional and contemporary folk songs, but also an eclectic mix of songs from other genres that work with an acoustic guitar accompaniment.
He can tailor his material to suit any audience, from a primary school music group to a retirement home. So whether you are booking for a folk club, concert or festival, a live music pub, a restaurant or whatever, Alan Francis has to be worthy of your consideration.
